Service Description: This data set represents surface state trust parcels in Arizona. A surface state trust parcel in Arizona is a piece of state trust land where the State holds and manages the surface rights (for uses such as grazing, agriculture, commercial leases). The subsurface rights may be held or leased separately and are available as the 'Oil and Gas Parcels' and 'Mineral Parcels' data layers. The data layer is created to serve as base information for use in GIS systems for a variety of planning and analysis purposes. It is maintained by the Arizona State Land Department (ASLD) and is updated monthly. Access is granted to public agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations and private individuals for non-commercial purpose. For commercial use of the data see Arizona Revised Statutes 39-121.03.
